SodaSlim Privacy Policy: what this website collects and what it does not

Five rows, three of which say never. That is the shape of a retailer site that hands off its checkout.

The correction form goes to contact@Soadaslim.com and nowhere else. It is not added to a mailing list, and there is no mailing list to add it to.

Nothing on this domain is assembled per visitor. The pages are flat files that arrive identical for everyone who opens them, so there is no advertising cookie, no cross-site tracker and no profile being built in the background.

Fonts are loaded from Google's font service, which means a request reaches that service when a page is opened. That is a third-party request and it is named here rather than buried, because a privacy policy that lists nothing is usually a policy that has not been read by its own author.

Ordinary server logs exist, as they do for every website, and they record page requests with an address and a browser string. They are used for nothing except keeping the site up and dealing with abuse.

• Ask what is held about you, and receive a copy.
• Ask for a correction to anything inaccurate.
• Ask for deletion of anything held, subject to any record a law requires to be kept.
• Withdraw a consent, where a consent was the basis for holding it.

This website is not directed at anyone under 18 and does not knowingly collect information from them. The product is for adults.

It is worth explaining the shape rather than only listing the rows, because the reason this policy is short is structural rather than virtuous.

A website that takes payments has to hold a customer record: a name, an address, an order history and a relationship with a payment processor. That record is what makes a long privacy policy necessary, and it is what a data request is usually about.

This website does not take payments. Every order button points at a hand-off page which passes the visitor to the seller's checkout, and the customer record is created there. So there is no order history here to disclose, correct or delete, because there is no order history here at all.

That arrangement has one practical consequence worth knowing: a request about your order data has to go to the order desk on +1 (302) 200-3480 rather than to this website, because that is where the record lives. Sending it here produces a reply saying so, which wastes a day.

A revision to this policy is published in place: the wording on this page is replaced and the review date above it advances. No separate archive is kept and no notification list exists.

The technical shape of this website matters to a privacy policy, because most of what a policy usually has to describe simply does not exist here.

These are static pages. There is no database of visitors, no session, no login and no shopping basket held on a server. A page request arrives, a file is returned, and the transaction is over. Server logs record that exchange in the ordinary way and are used for keeping the site available and dealing with abuse.

Pages are served over an encrypted connection, which is what stops somebody on the same network reading what you are looking at. That matters more on a health-adjacent website than on most, because what somebody reads can be as revealing as what they buy.

What this website cannot protect is what happens after the hand-off. The seller's checkout has its own security arrangements and its own policy, and the terms set out where responsibility passes.
